My Lean/TPS/CPI Approach

Lean in software is about shortening the idea-to-value cycle, exposing problems quickly, and enabling teams to solve them at the source. I use TPS pillars—Jidoka (build quality in) and Just-in-Time (optimize flow)—together with CPI habits (standardize → measure → improve → share) to improve reliability and reduce cycle time.

Practices

  • Visual management (dashboards/Obeya) for shared truth.
  • Value stream mapping for knowledge work.
  • Small batch sizes, limited WIP, predictable releases.
  • Andon for incidents and fast defect triage.
  • Standard work + checklists for repeatable quality.
